Striped Seabream on the wreck HMS Maori of Valletta Harbor

Striped Seabream - Lithognathus mormyrus

Elongated, compressed body with a long, pointed nose. Silvery-grey, darker on the back. 14 - 15 vertical, dark, lines on the sides. Lives on sandy bottoms close to Neptune grass, from 2-3 meters to 80 meters. Maximum size 55 centimetres.
