That’s me, a 47-year-old captain, a diving instructor and a amateur photographer. All my life I loved the sea and began diving and sailing. At some stage I had to decide and went to the boats, skippering all sort of boats from 12 ft sailing dinghies up to 70 ft off shore tugs. But I never stayed out of the water, kept on diving whenever I had the chance.

Being on boats around the world you see a lot and get a lot to take a photo of. It all started of with just keeping a memory of things and I never thought of making my photos public or even selling them until some friends of mine got me the idea. Everything just started out fine when in 2005 my little yacht including most of the equipment on board got damaged beyond repairs. Cameras, computer, hard drives, back up copies and tones of paper photographs where gone. In the near future, I might even get some cash for the boat but all the rest is gone.

I got a new camera now and have dedicated my activities to Malta for now, starting over again with building up a collection of everything Maltese.

It’s just the Internet site and originally it was only planned to showcase my work. At this point I have to give credit to my wife. She gave me most of her server space to build the site and much more I have to be grateful for her patience, while I am next to my regular work spending long evenings on the computer maintaining the site and her little online business too. The creators of gallery 2 deserve some credit too for their fantastic script, which gave me lots of ideas. I am still working on finding out the whole power of it.
